Click For More Pictures! Wanted!! 1944 American Marsh-built Army-spec Willys Jeep Fire Aparatus as shown in Enjine!`Enjine! (Second Quarter 2000) and at right.. This Jeep fire truck is identified by the Barton type U-40 fire pump, and it also has the word Jeep on a brass plaque on both sides of the hood and one on the windshield. As you can see The American-Marsh Fire Jeep draped the suction hose down the sides of the apparatus. You can also tell this jeep because because it has the small 5" military headlights and not the large 6" headlights that is found on the civilian CJ2A's. Also, the tools (axe and shovel) are on the passenger side and not the driver side like all the rest of the CJ-2A's from 1945 to 49. Please look at the pictures and see the the apparatus design. Looking for Pump for a 1941 Chevy Fire Truck. I am restoring a 1941 Chevrolet pumper. Problem is the front mount pump has been removed! I asked an old timer about the pump and he said it was scrapped. Bumper is extended and reinforcing is still there. Hole in the grill is still there. Most everything there but the pump. I plan on refurbing the pump so anything in the 500GPM and less range with a lever clutch, even not working but reasonably complete would work. What have you got in the "bone pile"? Thanks, Eric C. Wanted: I'm a student in Chicago and am currently working on a project for public television. I was wondering if I may ask you some questions, seeing as you have experience in the antique market of fire engines. My project, called "Firehouse, 1871" will focus on the everyday aspects of a metro firehouse in Chicago, just preceding the Great Chicago Fire. For this project I will need just about everything that a firehouse of that era would have, including the rigs themselves. My delmma is that I know no one who has gone to the heartache of restoring an actual era machine will give it over to a production to use, as I would like to actually have the men use the machines as they would have. In your professional opinion would I be better off to have one or two of these machines built from scratch, and if so, what kind of money are we talking about? This project is just in the begining stages, but with out my "stars" the machines, it seems pointless to even try to tell their story. Any other information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading my letter. Sincerely, Dan Morales danielmorales@ameritech.net     3031w 05.03.03

I am looking for a Cairns leather low eagle black helmet without a shield size medium for a reasonable price. I would like to add the following information about the scam that is going on out of West Africa. I have been contacted about selling my Mack Fire truck listed on the net. Originally I was contacted via phone operator translating by voice a email. I was offered full price (without even showing a photo of my rig to the buyer) for my rig plus $6500 for shipping. Here is the scam as noted in the newspapers and on NBC tv news as well as in some antique car magazines. You will get a bank check. It will bounce, but will take a while to do so. In some cases two months. During that time, you will be asked to pay the shipper with your good check or cash. Of course your good check will clear and you will be out the money to the shipper and your rig. The bank checks are bogus. Beware. Contact me Katman70@aol.com if I can be of any help. The email claimed that the rig would go to his customer in a far away county. He pretended to be a broker     3024w 04.16.03

Hello. I am a member of a volunteer Fire Dept. in upstate NY, and I need your help. We purchased two Federal Q2B Sirens from "AntiqueFireEngines.com" at the tune of $1,400.00 and change. The owner, Tony Martone of the Atlanta area, has stiffed us. He does not answer calls, his web site disappeared, and the Georgia State Police have not been able to contact him. Our check was cashed Sept. 26, 2002. He claimed to have sent them, and they were returned to him, due to an address error, and claims he then re-shipped them. We have not received them. This is where we lost contact. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please contact me at: genosheq@yahoo.com or call the Sidney Fire Dept. Non emergency # at (607)561-2312. Thank You!

Editors Note:   The owner of the business referred to in this posting purchased a commercial ad on this site in March 2002 and was paid through March 2003.   In October 2002, I received numerous complaints about misrepresentation of, and non delivery of goods purchased from him.

When I tried to contact him, his web site, E-Mail address, and phone number were all non operational. Additionally I verified complaints have been filed with the IFCC/FBI, the U.S. Postal Service and the Georgia Department of Consumer Affairs. Those complaints aside, he violated my terms of service agreement, and his ad was pulled from the site "With Prejudice" and he will not be allowed to post again.
