This service has been provided to Antique Fire Enthusiasts since April 1997, (Now approaching 9 years) and from the letters I receive has become an invaluable service to many parties. Due to its popularity however, the time and system resources required to maintain it, is exceeding the resources I have to do so.

    In order to keep this service alive and help offset a portion of my rising operating costs, (which have been donated to date) I've implemented the following changes:

• The "Classified Pages" now sit within the "Fire Hobby" area of my new domain "Antique Vehicle Ads Dot-Com"

• The "Classified" has been split into separate pages to allow faster load times, and longer "ad runs" in the future.

• A nominal charge has been added for "Sale Ads" to help defray the costs of maintaining these pages. (My calculations show this will still only cover about 60% of actual time costs to maintain this classified).

• Wanted, Trade, Donation, & Information Request Ads are still without charge

    It's well documented that these classifieds work, and asking those who make their apparatus and equipment sale using this service to help support it, is the most equitable solution I could come up with. I hope you can support this decision, and I am open to suggestions if you have a better one.

    In addition to this web site, the Classified still runs on four (4) Antique Fire Buff Web Sites I maintain, and one or two others which I don't. I hope you enjoy the new look and function of the site. Keep an eye out for other enhancements over the coming year.
